Helping Those in Need

Florida Helps is a group of volunteers from South Florida who are dedicated to assisting fellow Floridians during and after emergencies. With no one on the payroll, all donations go directly towards fuel, trucks, lodging for volunteers, and delivering essential goods and services to those in need. After witnessing the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in a low-income senior community, the team was inspired to expand their efforts to reach more Floridians in crisis. This could have been us! We are currently focusing on providing assistance in Pasco County, FL and St. Petersburg following Hurricane Helene. I went to help a friends mom and found hundreds of low income seniors needing assistance. Please help in any way possible! We are working on coordinating events with local business. A generous donor has already guaranteed truck, fuel, and lodging for volunteers and we are working with a church on a list of immediate needs and distribution help once there. We are applying for non-profit status with the IRS and creator and future registered agent of the charity, me, has personally guaranteed that if we don't get deemed as a non-profit i will personally take on the tax debt. if this gets big enough we have contacts in the new port Richey's sheriffs office and the county itself.
